Hapi

Pheasant, chicken, ostrich    73" x 42" x 13"

Hapi is the god/goddess source of the Nile, bringing at times the chaos of floods, life-giving water, the birth of agriculture and civilization.

In Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with a Thousand Faces, after the road of trials the hero meets the goddess. In poetry it starts to flow; in a game you’re in the zone. Time and space change, and Hapi grants her blessed nourishment.
